Cougars

Parker was awesome at coach pitch baseball this year. He really had some incredible hits and a contagious enthusiasm for the game. I loved how he would hit the ball and run to first base then raise both hands above his head pointing to the sky and jump up and down yelling, "I did it! Yeah! I did it!" His coach gave out a game ball each game to a player who shined that game in some way. Parker was so excited to earn one of those balls this year for some terrific plays in the outfield and a good solid hit at well. Good Job Parker! We think we will spend many, many more nights watching you play ball in the future!

Memory Lane Game

I got this from my friend's blog and decided to put it on mine because it just sounded fun. Play along if you wish. :-)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Astros

Ryan had so much fun playing baseball this year. He is now done with coach pitch and has moved onto machine pitch. He had incredible coaches and really worked hard this year to get better and better. He had a great year with some super hits and some pretty cools plays in the outfield. It was a big year for him moving up and playing with some much older kids. Way to go Ryan! We are so proud of you and loved watching all your games! We especially loved watching you share all your sunflower seeds with your teammates and learning they taste better with the shells off! We think Ryan was one of the players with the best attitude. Their team did pretty awesome and won most of their games, unfortunately a tough run in the playoffs game them a 4th place finish.

Walking...

Nathan learned to walk in Hawaii. Okay, okay, so he took his first steps a few days before we went, but by the end of the week with lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents all excited to encourage him he was well on his way before we came home. You can tell in these pictures that he is just learning to walk!
